Here is an easy dish for St. Patrick's Day in honor of all of the Irish-Italian families. 🇨🇮 🇮🇹

My husband's family is Irish. I had never made Ham and Cabbage before we met, but I am always willing to learn. This recipe was inspired by my grandmother whose family was from Czechoslovakia. Grandmom would sometimes put a "Slovak-spin" on Italian food. (see here) This is my "Italian-spin" on an Irish-American favorite.

1 package Talluto’s Potato Gnocchi

½ stick of butter

½ cup ham, roughly chopped

2 green onions, thinly sliced on a bias or 1/2 small sweet onion, chopped

1 cup savoy cabbage, roughly chopped

1 cup ham stock or chicken broth Salt and black pepper to taste

Cook the potato gnocchi according to the instructions on the package. Melt the butter in a skillet and add ham and green onions. Sauté until the ham caramelizes slightly and onions soften (about 1-2 minutes). Next, add the cabbage and broth and cover for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. When the gnocchi are finished cooking, drain well and add to the skillet.
