FRESH CUT PASTA SHEETS

Do you have memories of your mother and grandmother making fresh pasta from scratch in the kitchen?

Often, they labored for hours on end, creating tender and delicate noodles to be devoured in just minutes at the dinner table. You may have a favorite "cut" of pasta like angel hair, spaghetti, linguine, fettuccine, or you may just love them all. In our Talluto brand retail stores, we make fresh pasta sheets. We will cut them for you in any way that you desire. You can literally enjoy homemade capellini, spaghettini, linguine, fettuccine, and pappardelle on demand. Not too bad, huh? But, have you ever thought to use fresh pasta sheets for other applications? If you buy the pasta sheets whole and uncut, you will find that there are many other ways to use them. Have a look, won't you?

 LASAGNA-

Use the fresh pasta sheets the next time that you make homemade lasagna. There is no need to pre-cook the pasta before assembling the lasagna. Simply cut the sheets into lasagna noodles or into sheets the exact size of your baking dish. Add a little extra water to your sauce and the pasta will cook perfectly in the oven while the lasagna is baking.

MANICOTTI/CANNELLONI-

As with the lasagna, there is no need to pre-cook the pasta before creating your own signature manicotti or cannelloni. When the pasta is cut to the correct size, simply add your favorite filling, and get rolling!

HAND-CUT PASTA-

Many people like to hand-cut their own pasta. All that you need to do is fold the pasta sheets a few times and use a sharp knife to cut the pasta into the width that you desire. You can produce any cut that you'd like!

GARGANELLI-

Garganelli is a tubular-shaped macaroni that is easy to make using our pasta sheets. Dampen the sheets with a spray bottle of water on one side. Cut the sheets into squares approximately 2" x 2". (A little larger or smaller will not make a difference.) Take a pencil or a stick, depending on how wide of macaroni you prefer, and wrap the square around the pencil (wet side out) making sure you seal the edge. This will prevent the tubes from becoming unwrapped when you cook them. Allow the garganelli to dry for about 1 hour before cooking.

TORTELLINI/RAVIOLI-

The fresh pasta sheets can be used for making your own filled pasta as well. Before forming your tortellini or ravioli, dampen the sheets on both sides using a spray bottle filled with water. This is done to add flexibility and sealing ability to the pasta sheets. While working, you can keep the pasta that you are not using under a clean, damp towel to prevent it from drying out.

DEEP FRY-

Try deep-frying our pasta sheets for a delicious sweet or savory snack. (This is a great way to use up any little scraps that you have left from your project.) Simply cut the pasta sheets into various shapes and sizes. Place the pieces into hot oil and deep-fry until golden brown. Drain them on a paper towel to remove the excess oil. Sprinkle with grated cheese or with powdered sugar and serve.
