Sauces

The sauce is equally important as the pasta it dresses… so Talluto’s has extended its same principles of quality and simplicity to our continually expanding line of pasta sauces. Using only the highest quality all natural ingredients, like fresh packed tomatoes, Talluto’s sauces promise unmatched flavor, freshness, and satisfaction.

How much sauce should I buy?

One 12 oz container of sauce covers 1 pound of pasta or 1 dozen ravioli generously.  Because our flat cut pasta doubles in weight after cooking, we recommend two 12 oz containers of sauce per pound of flat cut pasta.

Marinara

A quick tomato sauce made from filetto di pomodoro, olive oil, garlic, crushed red pepper, fresh basil, and salt.

- Ricotta & Broccoli Rabe Ravioli
- Grilled Vegetable Ravioli
- Lobster Ravioli or Shrimp Ravioli

- Ricotta Cavatelli

Not recommended for Pumpkin Ravioli or Butternut Squash Ravioli.

Traditional Tomato

A traditional slow-cooked sauce made from ground tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, olive oil, and fresh basil.

Pairs well with: 
- Traditional Cheese Ravioli
- Beef Ravioli or Veal Ravioli
- Chicken & Broccoli Rabe Ravioli
- Spinach Ravioli
- Egg or Spinach Flat Cut Pasta
- Any of our Baked Specialty Pasta

- Cheese, Veal, or Meat Tortellini(oni)

Arrabbiata

"Angry" sauce, this spicy tomato sauce is made from filleto di pomdoro, olive oil, garlic, fresh basil, salt, and hot Italian chili peppers.  

Pairs well with: 
- Grilled Vegetable Ravioli
- Meat Ravioli
- Shrimp Ravioli
- Egg Cut Pasta
- Whole Wheat Cut Pasta
- Ricotta Cavatelli

Rosé

A delicate combination of fresh cream and a hint of tomato creates a "blush" sauce that complements many items.

Vodka

This classic sauce consists of full-flavored tomato sauce with a touch of heavy cream and a shot of vodka.

Pairs well with:

- Ricotta Cheese Cavatelli

Shallot Cream

Chopped shallots are sautéed in butter, heavy cream is added and it is seasoned with salt and ground black pepper.

- Chicken and Broccoli Rabe Ravioli

Spinach Cream

Fresh spinach is sautéed with garlic, onions, and olive oil. Heavy cream and milk are added and seasoned with salt and black pepper.

A rich sauce of butter, freshly grated Parmigiano cheese, heavy cream, nutmeg, and ground black pepper.

Fresh basil leaves are ground with extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, and imported Pecorino Romano and Parmigiano cheeses.
